Haider Alabdulaal is a corporate planning and strategy consultant at the Ministry of Energy-Saudi Arabia, with a focus on policies and strategic decision support. Haidar started his career at Landmark Software before joining Saudi Aramco, where he assumed several positions in different key upstream departments within the Upstream Business Line. Later, he shifted to the public sector by joining the Ministry of Economy and Planning-Center for Strategic Development. Haider holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering (Honor), from Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. from Texas A&M University. Furthermore, Haidar obtained executive education from Babson College in finance and earned his valedictorian MBA from MBSC where he scaled his family business and co-founded a legal service startup (Qantooni); a digital legal service that provides quick, affordable, innovative, and reliable legal solutions and services in Saudi Arabia.

I spent the past nine years investing in my professional development and gaining leadership and commercial experience. The two-year intensive MBA program at Harvard gave me deep understanding and skills across many business areas, especially in strategy and competitive analysis, leadership and global markets dynamics. In 2017, I decided to accelerate my career development and growth and gain accountability and decision making experience and exposure. I joined Careem, as a GM, in a leadership position with P&L and team responsibility. A year ago, I found an opportunity in Sarahah (sarahah.com), the internet startup, to help build a Saudi global internet venture with hundreds of millions of users. I focused on building the business. As a partner responsible for all commercial, financial and organizational work, I gained firsthand experience in starting a business and overcoming its challenges.
