The competition takes place in the presence of the German Business Circle at the Rosh Rayhaan by Rotana Hotel Riyadh on March 22, 2018.

The best ten applicants (Deadline: March 5, 2018) will pitch their ideas in front of a high-class jury composed of GESALO Delegate Oliver Oehms, the German Ambassador Dieter W. Haller, Saudi founders and investors.

The winning entrepreneurs of each category (tech innovation & social entrepreneurship) are awarded a four-day startup tour in Berlin in April 2018 including individual meetings with successful German startups, experienced investors and reknowned established companies.

In Saudi Arabia, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) have been defined by the recently established Small and Medium Enterprises Authority (SMEA, www.smea.gov.sa) as any enterprise with an independent commercial registration that has less than 249 employees, and less than SAR 200 million as revenue. In this year event, Saudi Aramco is recognizing the companies that demonstrate the most significant progress and high-end results in two categories, the Best SME and Best SME development
